IF - Subtract

Subtract is a hard topic. I've been sleeping on this for days. Thinking and doodling for ideas. The word makes me think of counting, taking away bad eggs, housekeeping my resources...
The old has to go to make way for the new.
This is the Subtraction Ministry of the enchanted kingdom. haha ;-) Kind of like quality control...

Portrait Day

These are some of the sketches I did at the OIC Portrait Day. I seriously need to brush up my hatching skill. It's so hard to apply the exact pressure on the right spot to create marks and lines that portray accurate lighting and shapes. The more serious parts that I need to work on for now is shading of the nose, the bridge of the nose, and the chin. I also need to study human anatomy. Practise, practise, practise!

IF - Legendary

The March Hare and the Hatter were greatly honoured to have the legendary Bruce Lee at their little tea party. Their special guest, Alice, was very much delighted by Mr Lee's animated kungfu stories. Even the sleepy Dormouse was awake.

"The Queen turned crimson with fury, and, after glaring at me for a moment like a wild beast, screamed `Off with his head!'," said Mr Lee. "But I grabbed her arms and turned her upside down and threw her up into the sky. She flew so far and dropped onto the large rose tree. The Knave of Hearts and the rest of the cards screamed and ran after Her Majesty!"

"Cool..." said Alice.

"Take some more tea." said the Hatter.

They chatted till sunset. It was a grand day and Alice thought to herself, "It's the best tea party I ever was at in all my life!"

It's such a breezy day... :)
After all the hoohaa... setting up a blog just to get this up, I miss the submission deadline by minutes! Oh well... I had fun drawing this anyway.
